The 50th Anniversary of Verona Cross Country was celebrated in great fashion. Alumni from state championship teams, all-state runners, and even runners from the first ever team made themselves present. Ryan Nameth (Verona) put on a show as he challenged defending State Champion, Olin Hacker (Madison West). However, Hacker was able to fend off Nameth as he won in a state leading time of 15:20. Nameth would run an impressive 15:34. On the girl's side, Amy Davis was the class of the field by winning in 18:23. Equally fun to watch was the Middleton Pack Attack as they had a :27 gap as they won the team battle by 1 point over Madison West. There will be many fun battles to come.
